- To make children aware about the conservation of medicinal plants as children are the most active link to enter the thought line of a family.
- To establish a community of medicinal herbs which allows the members (planters of plant in our herbal garden)to take any useful parts from any of the medicinal plant of the garden
- To ensure proper growth and security of young and newly planted saplings till their age of 2 years
- To spread general awareness on the simple methods of both usage and conservation of our megabiodiversity, such as using neem syrup or extracts of Dhatura as a natural insecticide.
- To increase the use of natural methods of different daily life activities rather than being dependent on chemicals and pollutants
Invitation:
Any of you who is interested in our environment friendly campaign and is easily accessible to the given venue are kindly invited to join this community.
Activities of the Day:
We plan to gather all the interested children of our society and explain to them the medicinal uses of very common plants like Sadabhar, Tulsi and Aloe Vera. Then, we will provide to them two saplings each and ask them to plant, protect, conserve and take care of their respective plants. In this way they would become the members of our community and be able to to use any part of any plant of this new herbal garden.
Follow Up Plans:
In future if any interested person comes to become a member of our community, it would be compulsory for him to plant two useful plants in the garden. We also plan to associate with any environmental NGO that would support us in our campaigns. We hope this initiative of our's will definately awaken the common people to upgrade the worsening condition of our natural heritage.
